Jérôme
Jérôme — a short story game about hiding a layoff from your family.
After fourteen years at a logistics company, Jérôme gets a letter: his role has been transferred to an automated workflow. He doesn't tell his family.
Every morning he takes his laptop and the lunch Léa packs him "for work", rides tram 3 across the city and sits in a café where nobody knows him. Léa and the kids think he's at work. The rent is due in seven days.
• Three actions a day: apply for jobs, take a gig, sell something, spend time with the family, or just scroll the feed.
• Every lie goes on a napkin. Everyone he lies to talks to Léa, so his stories have to match.
• Seven days, dreams between them, several endings.
